They Smell of Rich Mahagony

I’m pretty sure that wherever the studio is wherein Mystica Music artists record their albums, it’s filled with many leather bound books… because they’re sort of a big deal. Or at the very least they will be if they keep releasing songs of this caliber. You may remember Mystica Music’s Vorheez & Tone, from such Gurp City South posts as “Return of the Party Rockin Invincible” & “Kickin Much Ass” from whence you downloaded some of their latest tracks, &  immediately shit your socks. Now, far be it from me to put words in your mouth, but after you came to from your hypnotic stupor of orgiastic delight you probably thought something along the lines of “Wow daddy-o, where can I get more of that snazzy new rap from those hep cats over at Mystika, with the sensational new sound?” Or whatever the fuck it is you young buckets say these days. I’m not really sure how you talk, it scares & confuses me. I make old man rap. And believe you me nephew, everything I spit is funky fresh, or at the very least stupid dope. But I digress. The point I’m making here is that this new joint “Freaks & Weirdos” by Vorheez ft. Tone & Roosta (side note, I stand behind any artist named after yard bird or water fowl) is clockin much dollars on the 1st & 15th. Yeah, it’s crack. And as an added bonus triple OG DJ Rob Swift throws the knock out punch on this one with the type of DJ presence that seems to be going the way of the do-do, in today’s modern dubstep suckfest laptop era. Now go download this track that they have been so kindly as to provide you for free… then get the fuck off my lawn.

PS: Vorheez’ new full length “Say Anything” available soon. Keep your eyes peeled.

Return of the Party Rockin Invincible

Lately I’ve had the rare pleasure of seeing several of my friends & esteemed colleagues getting a fair amount of promotional love from some of the bigger hip hop blogs. It has been additionally refreshing since these particular associates are musicians with actual skill, who put  worthwhile content into their songs and not the seemingly endless rehashed fruit-bat poppycock & baloney show that defines the lion’s share of what I usually tend to see on those sites. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that most of that shit is a bunch of hooey. And in case I have to tell you my feelings towards hooey… I vote no on that shit. It’s a refreshing change of pace to see some music (especially rap music) that is dare I say, toothsome getting a bit of spotlight, instead of toiling in obscurity as it often seems to for far too long.

So without further ado I would like to introduce one of my personal homies from  Mystika Music’s Problemaddicts, Vorheez working in cahoots with Stone’s Throw’s Homeboy Sandman & and another Gurp City frequent collaborator, El Da Sensei of the Artifacts.  The song is called “Place to Be” and it’s off Vorheez’s forthcoming full length Say Anything. Click the link & keep an eye for more releases from the Mystika team cause they definitely have some fly shit on deck.
